Very Short Norway One Shot

“Huff…Huff!” you panted as you ran though hospital halls. You dodged nurses, doctors in white coats, and old people with walkers. You frantically looked at a map of the building as rushed to the elevator, and impatiently waited as it rose up floor after floor. You had gotten a text from you boyfriend, Norway, in six times the usual font to hurry to the local hospital.

The doors finally dinged and slide open you looked to the right then the left and ran down the left corridor. You turned one last corner and saw. Him he was sitting on a bench with head resting on his fisted hands on his knees.  You swayed on the corner, catching your breath, you were so happy that it wasn’t him that hurt.

But your heart stopped just as quickly as it had relaxed when he looked up at you. There were tears in his eyes. You hurried over. “Norway!” you cried, “What’s wrong?”

He just shook his head and you hugged him. He was shaking. You realized you were too; you had no idea what is going on. You had never seen him like this before. “Norge?” you asked.

“It’s Ice.” He whispered into your hair.

“Iceland?! What’s wrong with him?!”

“They don’t know…. he just collapsed at home…I” his voice cracked, “I didn’t know who to turn to.”

“It will be fine.” You said, but you were worried. Iceland was Norway’s little brother and you knew that there was nothing Norge wouldn’t do for his brother. You on the other hand had no family and you couldn’t bear the though of Norway, your love of your life, losing his family.

“I don’t know what to do.” He said.

“Norway I-“ you tried to comfort him, “I’ll go find a doctor.”

You rose to go, but his grabbed your arm. You turned back. His face was creased with worry. He wasn’t looking at you, “Please…. Please don’t leave……….If you leave I feel like you’ll never come back.”

You swallowed. You had never seen him show so much emotion. You sat back down and leaned against his shoulder, breathing in the scent of him, “Don’t worry…I won’t ever leave….”
