Romano Proposal

It had been a long day at work. Everything seemed to go wrong and go against you. You walked dearly to your apartment door. You put the key in the lock and turned it. The locked clicked open, but you didn’t open it. You stood with your forehead pressed against the frame.

Finally you sighed and turned the handle. The door sung opened and you stepped inside. You removed your coat and shoes and put the quietly in the closet. You walked out of the entry hall and almost didn’t notice the roses. They were everywhere, in vases and on the floor. Candles flickered by the windows and on the tables.

“What the?” you whispered. You looked around and on the dinning room table sat a small back box. You frowned and walked over to it. You gentle removed the lid. Inside was another a box, smaller and made with velvet. You heart stopped, it couldn’t be what you thought it was.

You slowly lifted the lid and…. there was nothing inside. ‘What?’ you thought.

“You have to say yes frist.” A voice behind you said. You whipped around your boyfriend Romano must have been standing behind the door. He held a small ring between his fingers. It sparkled in the candlelight.

“Romano.” You breathed.

“Well?” he asked, “What’s it going to be woman?”

“Yes!’ you shouted, you flung yourself into his arms and he spun you in circles around the room. “Thank you” you whispered in his ear.

“I’ll always be there, don’t forget it.”

“I won’t…. I promise!”
